Brazilian pig iron handled by us has been contributing to greenhouse gas reduction for over 30 years.
For a blast furnace with coke as a heat source, Brazilian manufacturers reduce iron ore with charcoal to produce pig iron.
All the eucalyptus to be used for those charcoals are planted at their own farms, so absorption of carbon dioxide over greenhouse gases discharged in the process of pig iron is absorbed by the photosynthesis of trees. As a result, it contributes greatly to the prevention of global warming.
Through the sale of Brazilian pig iron produced by utilizing renewable energy, we will continue our efforts to realize a sustainable society.
